Screen Shot 2014-10-29 at 6.05.59 PMIts been four months since I’ve been in hospital, during the past four months I’ve picked up 8kgs due to the Cortisone that I had to take. As you research and speak a physician you will learn that is prevents the release of substances in the body that cause inflammation. In my case it also made me eat like never before, resulting in me picking up so much weight. I’ve never been this big in my life and I’ve been feeling yucky as well, even though Adeeb says I look good and that he doesn’t see it. If you are married – he will say this, but look at yourself in the mirror and if you are different – be modest, chin up and get your ass to the gym or do an activity at home.

I do not know how I got to this weight but I am certainly not keeping it:

I shall loose it…I shall make a plan…I shall make better eating choices

This will be my mantra for the next two months.

I’ve so far started by making use of gym membership and doing a bit of yoga and Pilates, let me just say that yoga is not for the faint at heart. It gives you a full body and mind workout. I can honestly say that when I step out of my class, I feel relaxed and at ease with my life – no matter how insane my day has been – so thank you Virgin Active!

I’ve also taken to following a few awesome fitness inspired instas so that it keeps me motivated to my goal. Here’s a list of my favs thus far:

  1. Kayla Itsines - She is the best!! I am about to start her 12 week program – check out her blog to get it  – a must have :)
  2. Emily Skye - She uploads great video workouts – its intense though!
  3. Mandaloomitchell – an Australian who is currently doing Kayla’s guide – perfect workout videos
  4. EatMoveInspire – For Body Nourishment and inspiration – anyone can learn a thing or two from her, be it food or life inspiration.

I am not so comfy with uploading a picture of what I look like but upload a before and after when I am ready to do so.

Let today be your beginning to starting a healthy and active life.
